BBG Opportunities Abound
BBG is gearing up for our largest print distribution: the Juneteenth, Father’s Day, Pride, and WV Day issue!
The issue will be distributed through the state at many Juneteenth events. We’re looking for stories and help with distribution. BBG is also a great way to reach a targeted audience.
Deadline to submit stories is May 22. Email Traci Phillips at traci@blackbygod.org
If you’re interested in writing for the Juneteenth issue, helping us distribute, or supporting this issue with an ad, please contact crystal@blackbygod.org.
Get In the Black on the Map Business Directory
Black businesses are critical players in revitalizing coalfield communities, and BBG is excited to launch The Black on the Map: Black Business Directory to champion their growth.
The directory will list businesses and entrepreneurs that identify as Black-owned in West Virginia.
By creating this list we hope that the Black dollar can circulate back into our communities.
Thanks to a GKVF grant and generous reader donations, this initiative is dedicated to empowering Black businesses across West Virginia, especially in areas deeply impacted by the decline of coal mining. BBG understands that investing in Black businesses benefits everyone, and we’re committed to uplifting these enterprises.
