Company Overview

OurSpace World, Inc. (OSW) is embarking on an exciting endeavor to form a dynamic team dedicated to launching the Mid-Atlantic Land-Access-to-Market Pipeline (LAMP) program. This initiative focuses on supporting Small Scale Specialty Crop Farmers of the Black Diaspora by creating the foundational work required for this groundbreaking, grant-funded project. Guided by the principle of Ujima (collective work and responsibility), OSW, founded in 2011, operates several initiatives including Teach 22, The Ujima Initiative, and Calabash.

The LAMP initiative aims to utilize USDA-funded technical assistance resources to establish a hub for shared processing, storage facilities, equipment, and support access to farm-to-institution markets, with operations beginning in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Growth Opportunities

Becoming a part of OSW offers immersive experiences and opportunities to develop skills. This includes working with a diverse community of farmers, builders, consultants, and educators. The positions provide the chance to engage in independent and collaborative problem-solving, strategy development, and decision-making while addressing critical issues such as land and market access for Black farmers in Maryland and Virginia.
