As a former Elite model on vacation in Ghana with my best friend of over 30 years, Crystal Good—founder of Black By God Ghana and fellow Elite alum—this trip is more than just a getaway. It’s a celebration of sisterhood, legacy, and how we’re learning to see ourselves through new lenses as we step into our 50s.

For the past decade, I’ve been raising my family and working with beautiful autistic children, work that has grounded me in love and patience. But my passion for fashion has always been a part of me. Once it’s in you, it never leaves. It grows with you, evolves with you, and sometimes calls you back. 

Back in Atlanta, Crystal and I thrived in the model scene. Now, in Accra, we’ve rediscovered that joy, slowed down by Ghana’s rhythm, but also surprised by how fast time flies when surrounded by beauty, style, and spontaneity.
