BBG Cover Girl to On-Air Voice: Jessica A. Martin Joins 107.3 The Beat

By Black By God – The West Virginian
When Black By God featured Jessica A. Martin as a Black Policy Day cover spotlight, we highlighted her as a force of positivity and community uplift in Charleston.
Now, she’s turning the volume up.
Jessica — known online as “So JAM Fancy” and @YeaImFancyHuh — has officially joined 107.3 The Beat, Charleston’s home for hip-hop and throwbacks.
In a celebratory post announcing the news, Martin wrote, “The cat is out of the bag! I’m officially a part of the 107.3 The Beat family! I will be bringing personality, flavor, and real community energy to the station.”
That’s not branding language. That’s who she is.
Originally from Rand, West Virginia, Martin has built a loyal following by spotlighting small businesses, sharing community fundraisers, promoting local events, and reminding people to protect their mental health. What began as authentic posting grew into influence rooted in service.
Now, that same energy moves from timeline to airwaves.
107.3 The Beat promises more throwbacks, more classics, and more of the hip-hop that raised a generation. Martin promises connection. “The joints you still rap bar for bar. The anthems that never fade,” she wrote.
For Charleston, this is more than a radio hire. It’s a familiar voice stepping into a bigger microphone.
As the owner of Fancy Five Buck Fashion LLC and a consistent community advocate, Martin represents a new kind of media presence — hyper-local, unapologetically positive, and rooted in Black Appalachian identity.
At Black By God, we believe in tracking impact. From Black Policy Day cover to radio personality, Jessica A. Martin continues to prove that consistency, authenticity, and community investment create momentum.
Charleston is what you make it.
And Jessica Martin is making it louder.
Congratulations, Jessica. We’ll be locked in.
