TEAM for Est Virginia: Part-Time Contract Position
TEAM for West Virginia Children is excited to announce an opening for a Part-Time Contract Position with the Our Babies: Safe and Sound campaign. This initiative focuses on providing parents, caregivers, and professionals with vital information to ensure infant safety, particularly around safe sleep practices and coping with infant crying.
The selected candidate will be part of a two-member team collaborating to implement the Our Babies: Safe and Sound campaign in partnership with stakeholders across West Virginia.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating outreach and partnerships with early childhood programs, perinatal health partners, hospitals, and state agencies.
- Staying current on best practices and evidence-based messaging for infant safe sleep and prevention of abusive head trauma (Shaken Baby Syndrome).
- Planning and facilitating training opportunities for professionals and caregivers.
- Maintaining relationships with funders, assisting in grant proposals, and providing progress reports.
- Leading the campaign’s “Keep Your Cool” theme focused on preventing abusive head trauma.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a health or human services-related field preferred.
- Knowledge of prenatal and postnatal health and current best practices impacting infant safety.
- Strong communication and planning skills, with experience in grant writing and management.
Details:
- Compensation: $50.00/hour
- Hours: Average 20-25 hours per MONTH
