Until Wednesday, May 4

Voters may submit Applications for an Absentee Ballot to their County Clerk. Note: Applications received after May 4, even if postmarked, by law cannot be accepted.

Through Saturday, May 7

Early Voting is at any Early Voting Location in your county during normal business hours and Saturdays 9am to 5pm.

Tuesday, May 10: Primary Election Day

Polls open 6:30am to 7:30pm. 

NEW for WV in 2022

  • REDISTRICTING may have changed your precinct, district, and polling place. 
  • The eligibility for Voting by Mail (ABSENTEE VOTING) includes updates for Voters who take precautions due to COVID.

KNOW YOUR OPTIONS

It’s easy to see your SAMPLE BALLOT, find your POLLING PLACE, know your options for either voting by mail (ABSENTEE  BALLOT), EARLY VOTING, or IN-PERSON.

“LOVELY DAY’ West Virginia artist Frederick Hightower is working on a statue of Slab Fork native musician Bill Withers. A clay version is complete, but funds are needed to cast the statue in bronze. The Bill Withers Memorial Festival, 1-7 p.m. Saturday, May 14 in Beckley will serve as a fundraiser as well as area musicians honoring Withers.

SPREAD JOY, BUT HURRYThe @blackgirlsdream  #BlackGirlJoy Challenge welcomes girls, young women, and gender-expansive youth ages 12-24 who can describe their ideas for spreading JOY with their friends, families, and communities to apply for a $550 award.  The deadline to apply is Sunday, May 8.

We’re looking for:

The Juneteenth issue content deadline is May 21st.
