Get Ready to Laugh Out Loud: The First-Ever Dad Joke Comedy Battle Comes to Charleston

Charleston, WV – The West Side Neighborhood Association invites the public to the Dad Joke Comedy Battle, a live, family-friendly showdown where everyday people go head-to-head with their best (and worst) dad jokes — all to support a stronger, more connected Charleston.
Held the Saturday before Father’s Day, this one-of-a-kind event is more than just fun and games. Proceeds directly support the West Side Neighborhood Association’s community-driven initiatives — including neighborhood clean-ups, flower plantings, block beautification, and connector projects — that help neighbors take pride in and care for the place they call home.
“This event is about more than just laughs — it’s about bringing neighbors together. Through shared experiences like this, we build pride, foster connection, and support the visible change happening every day on the West Side,” said Naomi Bays, Executive Director of WSNA.
