Zero Hour WV: A Bold New Voice for Civic Engagement and Community Empowerment in West Virginia

Black By God is thrilled to spotlight a new West Virginia content creator who is making waves in the community. Zero Hour WV invites us all to be more informed and engaged in the world of politics. Hosted by Tamara Rush, an alumna of West Virginia State University with over two decades of dedication to social work and community service, Zero Hour WV is set to be a valuable platform for those ready to take control of their civic knowledge and engagement.
Tamara’s journey began in Charleston’s Washington Manor, a housing complex that ignited her passion for advocacy and community service. Her career as a Child Protective Service Worker in West Virginia and North Carolina placed her at the forefront of helping vulnerable families.
In 2020, Tamara opened She vs Her Beauty Supply Boutique (306 Patrick St Plaza, Charleston, WV 25387), a two-year labor of love dedicated to providing representation in the beauty industry. Despite obstacles, her resilience turned her vision into a reality, creating a space for women to connect over topics ranging from popular culture to politics.
Learn more about her journey on The Fostering Solutions Podcast.
With Zero Hour WV, Tamara now channels her experience, resilience, and community-centered values into a new political platform that promises to make informed civic engagement accessible and exciting. We at BBG are honored to support this launch and encourage our readers to tune in, learn, and grow with Zero Hour WV!
As always, we’re keeping an eye out for inspiring WV content creators. A few of our favorites include Sako and Dalton, Billy Earl, and Shank Daddy. Want to connect with us? Share your story through our form or email. Stay tuned, and let’s keep celebrating West Virginia’s voices together!
