Redneck Ballin’: Dalton and Sako’s Wild, Wonderful Life in West Virginia

Dalton and Sako are content creators living in West Virginia. The married couple has millions of followers on their social media platforms and shares their lives through lighthearted videos.
Sako, who states in a video that her full first name is Ntsako, is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. She became an American citizen at the age of 11 when she moved to Ohio. Although Sako says she did not have the typical American childhood experience.
“I went to a Christian school with six kids in total, zero sports, zero prom,” Sako explains. “Anyways, I eventually met Dalton and moved to West Virginia, and here we are, redneck ballin’.”
Dalton and Sako shared online that they met on the mobile app Tinder and went on a date a couple of days later. They had a good time when they met, so they went on another date. By the third date, Sako decided to visit Dalton in West Virginia.
On the way there, Sako called Dalton because her car started smoking. She told Dalton where she was, and he knew there was a gas station up the street, so he told her to pull over there. When Dalton arrived, he saw that Sako’s car was spilling oil and had a blown head gasket. Worried her car would be towed by the gas station, Dalton asked Sako if she wanted to call a tow truck, but she instead suggested they just go back to his house, the couple explained in a video.
A few days later, Dalton and Sako returned to the gas station and found that her car had, in fact, been towed. He said they should probably retrieve the car, to which Sako said not to worry about it because the vehicle was a “piece of s—t anyway.”
“So we drove back to my house, and Sako never left,” Dalton jokes in the video about how they got together. “She just stayed there, forever. Ten months after that, I proposed to her. A couple of weeks after that, we went down to the courthouse and got married. … So ladies, if you’re thinking of a way to, like, get with a man and him never leave you, just blow your car up and just stay at his house and just never leave.”
The couple now has a house together and a newborn son, “Joe Chuck.” They regularly upload fun content about their new parenting journey, property renovations, off-road vehicle adventures, being an interracial couple, and more.
Dalton and Sako also make comical content about living in the Mountain State. Some of their videos poke fun at Dalton’s Mountain State pride, what a “moving to West Virginia starter pack” includes, and “We live in West Virginia” jokes.
“We live in West Virginia, of course, my uncle claims to make the best shine this side of the Mississippi,” Dalton jokes in a video. – “Tastes just like rubbing alcohol,” Sako replies.
Viewers can also see some Mountain State tourism sites on Dalton and Sako’s social media channels. The couple has shared videos of them camping in Greenbrier County, “glamping” at Burning Rock Off-Road Park, visiting the Belleville Locks and Dam in Wood County, and hiking at Sandstone Falls and the Endless Wall Trail in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.
