West Side Middle earns dominant win in Homecoming Game

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Side Middle School Wolfpack, during their Homecoming Football Game at the University of Charleston’s Laidley Field Thursday night, scored a decisive 46-8 win over the Dunbar Bulldogs.

Before taking the field, however, students celebrated their 10 classmates who make up the 2026 Homecoming Court:

8th Grade:

The 2026 West Side Middle School Homecoming Dance will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, from 6-8 p.m. in the West Side Middle School gymnasium. Only 6th through 8th graders currently enrolled at West Side Middle School are permitted to enter. (No outside guests allowed). Admission is $2 per person. A DJ will be in attendance, and concessions will be available.

With Thursday’s victory, the Westside football team improves their record to 5-1 on the season. Next up for the Wolfpack will be a trip to John Adams Middle to challenge the 5-1 Falcons.
