Dear BBG Supporters,
On Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we sent out a request seeking input for a comprehensive listing of policies that impact Black people’s lives in West Virginia as defined by individuals and organizations working to support or oppose 2021 legislation in West Virginia.
We have received 12 responses.
We are asking you to share or submit to our survey using this google form.
We hope to organize and compile the policy agenda survey and publish the legislative priorities shared – and equally policymakers and shapers that do not respond – to this request so that those with a stake in them can be better informed of the legislative process.
Your responses to this survey will inform article(s) that will be used to increasing civic engagement throughout the legislative session.
All responders will receive a copy of this report.
You contribute to writing history with your response, as there has never before been a published Black legislative agenda for West Virginia.
Again, here is the link to the 2021 WV Black Legislative Agenda survey.
The 2021 Black WV Legislative Agenda project is supported by Black By God — THE WEST VIRGINIAN in partnership with Scalawag Magazine.
Black By God wants to recognize the hard work that Black woman organizers are doing across the country and West Virginia by launching the VERB campaign.
