On September 14, 2024, at 4 o’clock in the evening, love and joy filled the air at Willow Ridge Events in Barboursville, West Virginia, as Limuel “Woody” Woods, the charismatic Brand Manager of WRVZ 107.3 “The Beat,” and Valinda Neal, a dedicated Environmental Resources Specialist with the WV Department of Environmental Protection, shared their vows in an unforgettable ceremony surrounded by the people they cherish most. Willow Ridge, with its stunning indoor venue, was the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Its spacious layout and outside catering options provided the ideal setting for the couple to exchange their vows in front of their closest family and friends.

This wasn’t just a wedding—it was a family reunion, a celebration of the love and support that Woody and Valinda have from their amazing families. Woody’s parents, Tony Woods and Maxine Coats of Fort Wayne, Indiana, were beaming with pride as they watched their son marry the woman of his dreams. Valinda’s parents, the late James Neal, and the late Elizabeth Russell, were remembered in spirit, with their legacy of love and kindness present in every moment of the day. The presence of family was felt deeply, with the couple’s children playing key roles in the celebration.

Valinda looked radiant in an Allure Bridal gown, an intricately beaded, strapless mermaid-style dress with a sweetheart neckline. She paired the gown with Goolita open-toe pearl platform heels and a COCIDE silver crown, adding the perfect touch of elegance. Woody looked dapper in his custom suit from Tony the Tailor and beamed with pride as he was his beautiful bride. The wedding featured a stunning color palette of light champagne and dark green, accented with pops of orange and gold, which added a touch of elegance and warmth to the celebration.

Rev. Paul A. Dunn of First Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia, officiated a beautiful ceremony for the couple. Following the vows, guests enjoyed a lively cocktail hour at the nearby Legion Post, where the excitement began to build. When it was time to head to the reception, the party truly came alive! The 4 Chill Band, featuring talented singers Shayla Leftridge and David Knox, provided the perfect soundtrack for the evening. The couple’s first dance, to the romantic tune of “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran, was a moment to remember.

The night was filled with delicious food, upbeat music, and a dance floor that never stopped moving. Dinner offerings included garlic chicken, sliced beef, chicken, two kinds of pasta (with red and white sauces), scalloped potatoes, green beans, carrots, caramelized onions, Caprese salad, hot rolls with butter, and pepperoni rolls. For dessert, guests were treated to delectable cupcakes.

Woody and Valinda’s wedding was a true reflection of who they are—fun, full of life, and surrounded by love. The day was a perfect blend of family, laughter, and celebration, with everyone coming together to honor the couple’s love story. From the beautiful ceremony to the lively reception, this was a wedding that no one will ever forget. Here’s to Woody and Valinda—may your love continue to shine as bright as it did on your unforgettable day!
