Join the "Diamonds of West Virginia" Community!

Renee L. Ferguson of Phinishing Touches, LLC / Renee L. Ferguson Photography has partnered with Black By God to launch an exciting and impactful project titled The Diamonds of West Virginia. This initiative spotlights inspiring African-Americans and Black individuals with roots in West Virginia, documenting their stories, achievements, and contributions to the state.

The series begins by featuring Black By God Founder and Publisher Crystal Good, with many more inspiring profiles to follow. The first article, accompanied by a stunning portrait of Crystal taken in Malden, WV, sets the tone for this captivating series. Through this project, we aim to uplift voices and narratives that too often go unheard, creating a platform to recognize these “diamonds.”

Renee L. Ferguson is also developing a webinar to dive deeper into the community and purpose of The Diamonds of West Virginia project. Additionally, a private Facebook group has been created as a temporary space for updates, and a newsletter will soon return to keep “Diamonds” members and supporters informed.
