Black By God is thrilled to invite you to an exclusive screening of the groundbreaking documentary, Indelible Appalachians, on November 15, 2024, at 6:30 PM in Charleston, WV at the Flora Lee Cohen Theatre (Taylor Books).
Directed by Frederick D. Murphy, this powerful film sheds light on the often-overlooked contributions, history, and experiences of Black people in Appalachia. Featuring personal stories, historical insights, and stunning visuals, Indelible Appalachians highlights the deep legacy of African American communities in a region often misrepresented in mainstream narratives.
The film also features Crystal Good, publisher and founder of Black By God and a member of the Affrilachian Poets, whose work celebrates the intersection of Black identity and Appalachian heritage.
