Alicia Mae Holloway

Alicia Mae Holloway is a West Virginia native and a professional ballerina who first came to the attention of Bachelor Nation fans on Season 25 of “The Bachelor.” Growing up in Morgantown, she began her dance career at the young age of three, training at local dance studios such as Kat and Company Dance Studio and Morgantown Dance Studio. From there, she went on to train at prestigious institutions like Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. From 2011 to 2015, she attended the prestigious School of American Ballet and trained at the Boston Ballet Summer Dance Program and Pacific Northwest Ballet.

Alicia has had a successful professional career dancing with the Suzanne Farrell Ballet and is currently in her fifth season with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. She has even had the honor of performing on stage with Aretha Franklin. She is on the cover of People Magazine’s health issue, Winter/Spring 2023 issue discussing how she didn’t let her asthma diagnosis stop her from achieving her prima ballerina dreams.

Aside from her impressive dance career, Alicia is also known for the kind gesture her adopted mother showed her birth mother. In a TikTok video, she shared how her birth mother was able to keep up with her life throughout the years, despite giving her up for adoption. Her adopted mother would routinely send updates of her and photos every six months to her birth mother.

In 2019, Alicia competed in the Miss West Virginia pageant. While she didn’t win in the end, she is glad that her path led her to The Bachelor, where she was able to share her West Virginia roots and culture with the world. Alicia is a confident and driven woman who represents the best of Black By God, West Virginia. We are all so proud of her back home.
