Corey Brian Armstead, June 29, 1986-Aug. 3, 2024

Corey Brian Armstead, beloved son, father, brother, friend, and member of the Levi Baptist Church in Rand, W.Va,, passed away on August 3, 2024, at the age of 38. Corey was born on June 29, 1986, and was known for his talent in the kitchen, his love of hip hop music, and his kind and caring nature.

Corey was a graduate of the Mountaineer Challenge Academy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Wes Armstead. Corey is survived by his daughter, Azariah, his special friend Lindsey Shumate, sister Crystal Good, and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A memorial service will be held during church services on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m .at Levi Baptist Church in Rand, WV.

Corey will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and love for his family and community. Special thanks to Coalfield Development, where Corey was in a trade program at the time of his death and found the program rewarding.
