Obituary: Sharon Louise Satterfield

Sharon Louise Satterfield transitioned from this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

She was born in South Charleston on November 17, 1945. She graduated from South Charleston High School and retired from Mountaineer Gas Company.

Sharon, aka Granny Mae and Mae Mae, was a talented seamstress who had a love for hats and enjoyed planting flowers, attending her grandkids sporting events and most of all she loved her family. She was also known for remembering everyones birthdays.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Claudine Lawson; and her brother, Aaron Lawson III.

Sharon is survived by her son, Archie Satterfield (Christy) of Charleston; daughter, Lisa Satterfield of South Charleston sister, Debbie Staples of South Charleston; nine grandkids; a host of nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Beverly and Jeanette.

A visitation will be held from 12 pm to 2 pm on Tuesday, June 25, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. A committal service will be held at 2:30 pm in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
