Emmanuel Ojo leads State as runners open season at Marshall XC Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia State University men’s cross country team opened its season at the Marshall University Thundering Herd XC Invitational Friday morning, as three Yellow Jackets took to the course.

Emmanuel Ojo was the top finisher for WVSU, crossing the finish line in 19:07.16. Karl Chadband followed, finishing in 21:22.72. Tristan Ancker rounded out the WVSU runners, crossing in 23:10.50.

The Yellow Jackets return to action Friday, Sept. 18, competing at the 55th Annual Patty Forgey Rio Grande Cross Country Invitational. The first race is set for 4:30 p.m. in Rio Grande, Ohio.
